Post b18b1 pistons/rods

Looking to put low compression pistons and rods in my 95 b18b1 ls. Does anyone have suggestions on any types? 9:1? What is the stock bore size 81.5mm?

Stock bore size is 81mm. i think 9:1 is good if you going turbo.

Because i put that motor in for 3 days with my small td04 turbo pushing 7 pounds of boost and it already blew a piston some how. So i think it was already cracked when i first bought the motor and it didnt show in the compression test

Damm that's odd. I see people push 16psi on a t3/t4 with stock head and block.

I'm sure the problem was tuning related and not based on the internal components. I made 315whp/216wtq on my stock GSR with no issues. Building it isn't going to fix the problem UNLESS you actually address the problem causing these issues. With such a tiny turbo making almost no additional power, i dont know how you busted up the internals.

**By the way, PSI doesn't mean anything...so saying "16psi on ...." doesn't give us any real measure of anything. There are such vast differences between the "T3/T4" variants.

Yeah that's what I'm guessing. I figure it was tuning related also.
