Default Should I upgrade my suspension?

I recently picked up a 99 ek coupe from a friend that had KYB AGX shocks, and Neuspeed sport springs installed on the car. The car handles nice, but having had a few Miata's in the past, I am wondering if upgrading would be worth the money spent. I do not track the car, but do like to have fun in the corners on the streets. So far I have installed front and rear upper strut bars, and have been impressed with the decreased chassis flex and overall improvement there. I am mainly considering GC/Koni set up if I do replace my strut/spring combo I have now. Would it be worth it to upgrade or should I stick with what I have and add a rear sway bar/brace, and some LCA's?

Aftermarket LCAs are a complete waste, unless you're on track and chasing that last 0.01s / lap. If your stock LCAs lack swaybar mounting points, the OEM LCAs off of another Civic that do have the mounting are the best solution to adding one.

AGX aren't bad shocks. If you want to stiffen up the car, then replace the soft lowering springs with either a stiffer spring, or a threaded sleeve and spring combo. I do love my Konis, but I'd have trouble justifying the purchase of some if I already had AGX shocks.

I'd start with a nice rear swaybar, and then see how you like the car. It presents the smallest reduction in ride quality for the handling improvement.

Alright, well I'm gonna look into an ASR subframe brace and swaybar. What kind of springs would you recommend?

ASR = good upgrade

As far as springs, that entirely depends on your desired ride height and your personal tolerance to a stiff ride.

Try starting with just the swaybar. If that gets you to what you want from the car, or very close at least, you might be happy enough to not spend more money. If you find you still want more after it, then start the spring research.

Opinions on full suspension upgrade, shocks, springs, strut tops, bushings and much more.

Get the asr in the rear
Right now im guessing you have stock sway bars? 26mm front 13mm rear?
Get something bigger in the back to stiffen up and balance out your understeer (depending how big you go in the back)
That should keel you happy for a little while or atleast long enough to get konis and gc
