I swapped the engine on my 00 accord lx for a newer one with 80000 miles. The old engine started, ran, and idled fine and even drove fine with 349700 miles except it blew a lot of white smoke. After dropping in new engine after startup it idles irratic. Jump 1400-2100 rpm.. If u unplug map sensor it the idles 1400-1800, and if u then unplug tps and back in it sits at 1000 and idles fine. It seems to hesitate or miss when u gas it, and seems like it has a rev limiter at 3000. Getting a tdc code misfire. Any ideas as to what is going on here? Already changed the tps and map due to codes, don't wanna replace tdc if u guys don't think it'll work. What are some ideas and options to try? Could this be ecu? Bad ground? Egr?
