So with this years tax return i plan turboing my 99 hatch. I was wondering what exhaust i should use for optimal power yet still being streetable. I was thinking about getting a high flow cat, vibrant resonator, vibrant stealth muffler, and then taking it all to a muffler shop to get it all connected with custom 3in piping. Does this sound good? Any other ideas?

 

3in piping sounds good to me. dont even waste the money for the resonator just do a custom catback 3" and whatever muffler you want. a high flow cat would be nice to either that or a test pipe

 

I was going to get the resonator because I dont want it to be crazy loud and obnoxious, although the turbo itself should help a lot with that.

 

if you are still going to run a cat a high flow cat is a good idea. really any straight through design muffler will work. which ever brand you like. that along with your 3" tubing will give you a good exhaust system. just remember more important than after the turbo is before!
