Default New Block or No?

Sup guys,

Need some advice, Well I kind of messed up and thought my hg blew but I now think its the starter and fuel relay that gave. Because when I was trying to start it didnt do anything. No crank no anything.. I bought the car for 500 bucks from a friend and he said he was driving and it just shut off.. then he said it tried to start it and it made a big bang.

Well I took the head off just to see the block and I seen that cylinder one is not perfectly leveled.

Now what should i do? take it to get it milled? Or get a new block. Do you think its still repairable?

swap a B20 or another B18 in, sell the old block or part it out. If it's protruding like that, something pretty serious has got to be wrong.

So definitely don't even try to get it machined?
I hate the fact when buying a long block you don't know what your getting until you take it apart !

How much could I get this block off for? 200 bills?

Let me know...

most machine shops will tell you what needs to be done with no charge before they start doing the work. taking it to a machinist is your best bet. cant really tell how off it is by the pics. so a machine shop would be your best bet.

You're gonna have to drop it regardless. I agree with taking it to a machine shop.
