For that power goal. Stay stock. You'll get better response with a 3" exhaust than switching IMs right now. Get your exhaust and downpipe system handled, and THEN worry about the IM.

I was told by my tuner that my goal of 300whp 2.5" all the way through will be plenty. my buddy is running 3" all the way through and seems like he's loosing back-pressure.

That's good. You DON'T want a lot of backpressure, especially on a Honda. Mitsubishis, Mazda, and other turbocharged applications from the factory were specifically created to have a bit of backpressure due to the turbo size used and emissions control. In the Honda's case, the less back pressure, the better (to a point of course: a 4" exhaust does nothing for the street and should be for race applications only.) A 3" exhaust will alleviate enough backpressure to get the power that you need without changing IM, thus making this thread's purpose a bit moot.

its not so much gaining power when you go to a 3" exhaust although you will gain some but we wont be able to tell you how much until you put it on a dyno and tune it. but It is the much better flow and helps spool turbo a little faster.

The Shodan is right. Put your money elsewhere than an IM for now

Not true. Search for it, there are many dynos showing the difference. The skunk 2 gives more power till about 7K then the VictorX takes over. The biggest gain from the VictorX comes after about 7500 so if you're not reving your motor past 8200-8500 I wouldn't bother with it. The skunk2 makes more sense for less power set ups and street cars
