92 ex hart to start when cold
motor is a d15b7 with that ecu, i have tryed the p28 aswell. and replaced the fuel pump.
when the car has been sitting for multiple hours i will have to crank it for 10 seconds then it will start and die then start and die then start and almost die, then 5 seconds later it will pick up and run, but if i hit the gas it will almost die so i have to let it sit for a minuet or two.
any ideas on what this could be. thanks

bump for a good question. this could be a couple different things i think. if it runs good after warming up i wouldn't think that it is an ignition issue. I would try checking your IACV possibly? jsut make sure it is gummed up. also your FIAV if it is not opening that could be causing your cold running/ starting issues.

is it getting spark? have you tried replacing the dizzy? i had an accord old school that was doing the same problem, i would have to get lucky for it to turn on first time cranking, but i'd have to give it gas for it to stay on if not it wouldnt turn on at all :/ , i replaced the distributor and it worked like a champ, maybe it could be the same problem for your car?

my first del sol had this problem.. i let out all the gas from my tank.. but vpower gas.. put a fuel system cleaner by b-12 and changed out my fuel filter.. and it would turn on way better after that
Buy a bottle of Lucas fuel treatment, wait till your gas light turns on put in 5 gallons and the treatment and drive it until the light comes on again. Then fill up with midgrade.
If it's not that, start looking at spark if you already replaced the pump.
