Im installing a skunk 2 intake mani on my gsr and i bought a blox intake gasket off my buddy brand new and i lined it up to the im and it seems to fit weird the gasket sits 3/8" higher then the top of the port on the im, i dont think it will leak because it does cover everything but ive never seen a gasket fit like this. Did i get a shitty blox product or is this how the blox gasket is suppose to line up?

 

The IM gasket is correct, its made to match the oem port angle of a gsr head, whereas most aftermarket GSR IM's do not.

 

wow so the im port angle is off that much from a skunk 2 mani? i havent matched the gasket to the head yet. thanks for the info

I have one myself, had to fight a bit with the studs to line it up but it finally went on.

 

Does everything line up correctly on the cylinder head?

 

Gasket matching is a must in my opinion.

looks more like a b16 gasket with a gsr bolt patern and way over cut on the top of the port.
