WHAT IS LS VTEC???
I'm not a B series guy. But I'm pretty sure that it is a Non VTEC LS block with a VTEC head swapped onto it. You would probably be able to find a lot of info in the hybrid forum. It seems to be a pretty popular swap for the budget oriented small block Honda guys.
not quite that easy. I know you'll need to drill new holes for oil lines as well as getting a chipped ECU and then tuning the car. I've never had a B series motor, so I can't really tell you what all goes into the whole process.

first of all a gsr has a vtec head already so idk why you would downgrade and get an ls crank and rods and an ls/vtec is ls bottom end with a vtec head put on top. The vtec head could come from various cars such as Del Sol's, Civic Si's etc...
Ls vtec isnt just a ls bottom end, it could be a gsr/type r with ls internals too.
but to the o/p yes, you must tap the head for the oil.
o/p pm me and i can explain it a little more detailed for you.
Just wanna ask for confirmation... Is it true both B18B & B18A don't have VTEC head?
To put B16A or B16B or B18CR head on it, with current wiring/harness is it possible to use VTEC ECU (from B16A or B16B or B18CR) without major re-wiring job.... Any suggestion where can i read about this in more details?
