I did some searching and found fuel system problem. The car is getting very poor mpg and is very sluggish unless I give it a good amount of gas. I found a post that said 43 is mainly the O2 sensor and will show a rich fuel idle mix. The car does have a black sooty color on exhaust tip but doesn't smoke. It is also giving a code 12 for egr lift sensor. Any tips appreciated, I do not like watching my fuel gauge going down so quickly. Thanks.

change egr and o2 sensor make sure to clean off the carbon build up were the egr bolts up to u should be ok then

 

deff need o2 sensor and more than likely egr valve... check connections on valve.. sometimes u can remove and clean the carbon off of it and that will fix ur issue!
