Default Help.. Need advice on a band saw purchase!

Hey Boys and Girls,

I've come across the opportunity to get the Wilton 7015 Horizontal Band Saw for $1000 buckaroos. The machine is brand new and hasn't been assembled. I'm hesitant to buy this machine being that I don't know anything about bandsaws. I don't want to pass it up and kick myself in the *** later on. The machine sells on average for 3000. Its 551 pounds and single phase 115/230 and it will be used in my garage. Does anyone have any experience with Wilton Saws? Thanks again.. Nick

I have a Wilton 7020 saw at my shop, and it is pretty robust.. I'd probably buy it if I were you.. Full-Race has a few of the Wilton 7020's if that tells you anything..

I think Jet recently purchased Wilton, as I was under the impression that Wilton was owned by WMH Tool Group.. I always thought the Jet line was chinese crap, lol.
