sorry i know thers tons of threads out there but im lost. i got a obd1 dizzy from a 92 civic dx. i trying to put it with my y7 in my 91 dx. thye obd1 dizzx plug has 7 wires while the dpfi obd0 harness i hav from the dx only has 5 wires. i know most the wires match with the colors but short 2 wires? if any1 can please help. was thinking just gotta run 2 wires to the ecu?

 

you need to do a obd1 conversion which usually intails a new ecu and a jumper harness

 

first things first. is your car already mpfi? if not are you going to re-use your obd0 DPFI manifold? if so then simply re-use your old distributor. if you are going to actually use the 92 DX distributor then you will have to do an mpfi conversion as well as an obd1 conversion.

 

having the same problem but telling someone they need to do the swap doesnt help.
tellus what has to be done for the two extra wires..
ive got the obd1 jumpers and trying to do the mpfi conversion but ive not read anywere on what to do about this

 

They are the C1 and C2 wires that get added to the dizzy wiring.

pin B10 & B12 should be emptycan use pins from B2 & B11 as well. Cut and move C1 to B10 and C2 to B12. Leave a few inches of wire from ECUU. Run WIres from the C1 & C2 that are cut to the engine compartment for the dizzy. the C1 goes to the blue/green and C2 goes to the bluue/yellow on the dizzy plug.

Also must swap the outside 2 wires on the TPS

and then the injector wiring, but depends if they are high or low Impedence

ok so i have a red and white wire in pin b12? im kinda stumped

 

Some cars have that wire.
It will NOT effect anything to get rid of it and move along with your conversion.

 

ok..btw im not tryin to thread jack..lol but i hope im helpin by askin these questions..
and i got the dizzy wiring done a couple hours saudered everything next ill tape all the wires up so they are covered in black then ill put that plastic stuff around them to give the factory look..wish me luck on the injector part!
