Is that a damaged silver S15 at the back too?

That DC5 looks flattened alittle... obviously the crash is sad but it makes me think the DC5 would've looked abit better if it wasn't as fat as it is.

Makes sense, as the DC2 ITR is lighter than the DC2 GS-R, part of making the R

Mine weighed 2575 pounds with 1/8 tank of fuel and full interior. Guess it all depends if it's fueled or not.

You are comparing USDM with JDM weights. The DC-2 is about 2440 lbs in Japan.

That's strange if the DC5-R weighs less than the U.S. DC2-R. If it weighs less, and it's carrying 220 hp, then I would assume that thing would fly. REALLY fly.

I believe the DC2R weight listed there is for an AC equpied 98+ ITR. Is it not? The 1997s were rated a little lighter since they did not come standard with AC and rear wiper setup...
The 1997 w/o AC was rated at 2560 lbs...

the dc2-r is a great car, but the dc5-r is a much better car in every category. handling, 0-60, 1320 and its lighter. plus it has a 6-spd. well, the only bad thing is that the dc5-r doesn't have a rear double wishbone suspension but thats the only flaw i can think of.

I like the way the B series motor crys at high RPM, when you really push it.
it sould like I am killing it, but the power keep comming ..
and the DC5 just lame.. the power is there but no more honda signature noise

References? I have seen only two comparison articles and both preferred the DC-2 because it is much more involving and raw.

handling, 0-60, 1320 and its lighter.
Numbers? Have not seen the figures (lap times, 1/4 mile times, etc.) to back up this assertion. It is not lighter - the original poster was comparing JDM to USDM weights.

Yes for the Australian market. The DC5R weighs 1160kg. If I remember correctly the Australian DC2R weighs about 1080kg. I didnt know the American DC2R was that heavy....
