You could fiberglass and bondo it all but it will not be the same quality as being welded. Prob will not last as long either.

i was thinking about using 3m panel bonding adhesive or a product called fibertech from evercoat. Only reason being for people like me and others who cant or dont have a welder to have alternatives to shavinging. Im not trying to half *** or anything just curious if there was other ways

Is there something wrong with prepping the metal for welding then PAYING someone to do the welding?

Is there no rental services in your area? I seem to recall a buddy of mine renting some equipment before.

you could use panel bonding adhesive and a patch panel from behind. it wont look good under the dash, but it will look fine in the bay once you give it a skim with some filler, and smooth it out. I seen an episode of trucks one time when they used panel bonding adhesive to put new cab corners on a s10 to repair the typical rust in that area. i think they used the stuff from eastwood though.

(waiting for sh!ft 2 chime in lol)

weve shaved tons of **** using metal to metal panel bond. just glue in sheetmetal, or coins in certain applications. ive got cars that we shaved stuff on and painted over ten years back and still has no indication of a hole originally being there. just make sure you take a grinder and valley out the top edge of openings and bolt holes so you wont have the possibility of a ring showing through after time.
