Looking at an S2K with a replaced motor.
This is what the guy says
"I’m selling a 01 Spa Yellow Honda S2000. The chassis has 130-140k miles and the motor has 60k miles. The car has a Clean Title. I am the second owner of this car, the previous owner purchases a new motor directly from Honda and I have all the paperwork of the motor swap. The motor is running strong and regular maintenance on time (oil change @ 3k, coolant, etc). Exterior and interior in excellent condition. All the car covers will be included. I bought this car for pleasure and now it’s time for me to move onto a bigger car as my family gets bigger. Currently the car is garaged since I have another car for daily."
The pics look good, the top looks worn and plastic back window looks like crap, but body/engine looks good, should I go for it? He is asking $9,000

2001, AP1, Body has 130-140k. and motor has 60k. I'd stay away from that. Even if it is clean title.
Ask why he had the motor replaced, the top is worn down and back window. I'd say throw a hard top on it.
IMHO, i'd say stay away from it and find something better.
But if it seems like a good deal to you? Go for it!

I would get a lower price as well. 8000 just because of the mileage on the chassis. The motor swap doesn't bug me as long as it is done well. If he has paperwork that is a plus. Get it inspected if you can't do a thorough run down yourself. You can use all the wear and tear as bargaining chips for lowering the price.
I was thinking today, how can he prove the engine has 60k miles? The OD will say 130-140k miles, so I only have his word that is has 60k miles, it could have 100k for all I know, I think I might avoid this one, but getting an S2K for under $9,000 is hard to pass up.
Also the motor was swapped, but the tranny could be about to go out and lots of other things

That's a lot of miles for an s2000.
Keep in mind, majority of s2000 owners drive about 10K or less per year, the s2000 is not like a civic in terms of mileage.
I'd keep shopping and stay away from that purchase.
