Default 92 eg d16 engine noise?

sounds like when ur powersteering is low and you turn the wheel. except its constant not only when turning.

so i thought the pump was going out, but i pulled the powersteering belt and the noise was still there any ideas?

i was thinking water pump but i hope not.

One of your drive belts, my bet is the alternator belt is loose and it makes that loud annoying screeching noise. Tighten the belt and that should solve your problem.

just need a confirmation pretty sure its one of these:

AC compressor/alternator (taking off belt to check after this)
TimingBelt/Tensioner
Input shaft bearing(dont think so because sound comes from timing belt side)

let me know what you guys think. thanks.

yea my car doesnt overheat either so im thinking its a bad tensioner. is the timing belt tensioner hydraulic or spring?

i finally pulled the ac belt and the compressor was the problem.

this sound was caused by an ac compressor on its way out

well atleast its drivable, but a timing belt and tensioner woulda been cheaper to replace.

hopes this helps someone while they're searching thanks guys. HONDA-TECH
