95 Honda Accord Lx Antenna Problems
I own A 1995 Honda Accord Lx, I recently Attempted To change My Antenna Mast, Everything Was Going Well As i removed The Old Mast Removed The Motor And opened It To Check If Any Pieces Were Broken inside. When I tested The Motor TO make Sure It Was Retracting It worked Excellent So I Put The Motor Back As It Was Before And Tried To Insert The New Mast With The Teeth Facing To The Rear Of The Car Like The old One Was, But The motor Would Not Catch The New Mast, So I gave It A Bit Of A push As my Friend turned off the radio and it just got stuck and the motor wouldnt retract so i just decided to put the old one back in until i could get someone that knew how to do it, to replace it. But This Is Where The Weird Stuff Started My Interior Dome Light, Trunk Light, And My Front Passenger Cornering Light Didnt Work Anymore, and later I found Out That Now When I Lock My car With My car alarm It Locks The car but Makes The Sound As If I left A door open, also My Car Doesnt lock Anymore When I Turn On My car
, Im Not Sure If This is the result Of possibly burning out the antenna motor, or i didnt put all the parts back right, any Ideas?!?

These comments are based on my 93's, but should be a good start.Check the fuse for the antenna motor (No. 22 on a '93). It also covers the interior lights, lighter, and integrated congtrol module, which controls the locks and all sorts of other stuff.
For the antenna, I suggest you take out the spool, clean the cavity, and relubricate it with white lithium grease or something else that won't thicken considerably at low temperature. Same thing can be done on the gear side. Check the metal pin that keeps the belt in contact with the drive gear, this can wear to the point that the teeth won't mess with the belt enough to drive it. The pin can be pulled out, rotated 180 degrees, and reinstalled. With the gear train out of the motor assembly, the mast can be installed by hand. Then reinstall the gear train. I suggest you plug test the antenna assembly before reinstalling the whole thing back in the vehicle.
