gen2 b16a in a DA. lots of Q's wit pics! help!
ok so i got a very clean gen2 b16a from elite imports. i got lots of Q's that i really hope you guys can help me wit. its going in a 92 integra(obd1). im using the ls obd1 harness and the motor is offcourse obd1.
*ok first is the engine mount. i still have the b16a lower mount from the the timing belt side and im tried to use the origanal upper ls mount but it does go on straigt,,so do i use the lower mount from the ls and bolt it to the b16a?

*second i have an extra plug when i was putting the ls harness on the b16a. when i looked on the ls it was a green plug and when i removed it was cover in oil so i dont know if it was a oil temp or not but what ever the b16a does not have it.
****here is the pic of the green plug with the spot of were it is on the ls

****here is the pic of the ls motor and its right next to the oil pressure sending unit.

****here is the sensor

*ok last the ls has this sensor but the b16 does not and i have no idea what it is. its the yellow one, right under the §§§§§.....

come on no one can help me figure out what these sensors are on my ls and y the b16a does not have them, i really need help guys
The green plug on the back of the block is the fan switch. The sensor basically tells the fans when to kick on @ a certain temp. Look on the thermostat housing if it's not on the block. The sensor under the dizzy is the coolant temp sensor for the ECU (I think...someone correct me if I'm wrong). There's a total of 3 coolant sensors on the motor: one for the fan switch, one for the ECU and one for the gauge cluster (I believe this one is just the single wire hookup).
The sensor on the side of the head(yellow) is a coolant temp sensor for the ecu.... the green sensor on the back of the block is a oil temp sensor not coolant temp.. THe easiest thing to do is remove the plug from the back of the b16 block will have a allen head in the center and install the sensor.. not a big deal at all... and like u said with the mount use the lower ls bracket on the b16 with the upper ls mount and u will be off and running
you don't need to plug the extra green connector on the ls harness( I keep mind covered). I have had the b16a and b18c1 in my 92 da and I don't connect the green connector to anything. no check engine light at all. it's just a extra connector the engine won't use. btw I reused my ls driver side engine mount and the bracket. straight bolt on affair. I trashed the b16a braket since it won't line up to the chassis correctly.
