Will an automatic ls obd1 ecu work in a car that is 5 speed, If not is there anything i can do to make it work? Im about to buy one but the guy does not know if it is out of an auto or manual car. Thanks

 

Yes it will work but with throw a check engine light. you can convert it to 5-speed.

 

It'll run the car but indeed throw a CEL on, and the car probably won't run 100% as good as if you had the correct ECU in.

 

What is different about the two ecus and how can i convert it over? Also will this ecu run a b18b1 rather than the a1?

 

you need a obd1 ecu to run a b18b1 unless you converted it down to odb0

you can find tons of info about doing the 5 speed convert it's really easy. The car will run the same with the ecu performance wont decrease

 

THe ecu will throw the code because auto's have an EGR valve. Manuals don't. Do some searching on www.teamintegra.net you will find out how to read the diff. between an auto and 5 speed ECU.
