EM1 Front End Shaking Issue.Need a bit of help
Hey guys,i have searched this issue more than a few times. The front end of my car shakes quite a bit under acceleration.Usually between 1500rpm all the way through maybe 4-5000 rpm.As i am sure alot of you guys say axles well here is a list of things i have replaced to try and fix the issue.Im just stumped and dont want to pay a tech $80/hr to figure it out then parts and labor.Any help is always much appriciated.
Brand new Speedfactory axles
Lower ball joint (Driver side)
Both rotors/And Pads
Omni power full Coilover suspension
an alignment.
Driver side motor mount.Solid all others are stock.(was shaking even before this was replaced)
I have had the car 2.5 years now and it has done it ever since the first axle was replaced. Not sure if it ever did it before i got the car.
Funny thing is,when you lift the car to adjust the suspension or rotate the tires and re- lower it,the shaking goes away for about 10 minutes.Im thinking maybe the mid-extension for the drivers side axle,or maybe the wheel bearings going out.

Yeah I thought it was my axles too. But I have changed them 3 times now, went to speedfactory and got some bad *** ones that are thick and name brand. I'm thinking it is the motor mounts. It's a shaking but not a steering wheel shake.
you are right..but then again it does shake a bit in the steering wheel...and the front end vibrates.....clueless.....bc i do have OEM mounts with Prothane motor mount inserts....tranny..rear..and driver...
i had the same prob,i got a poly bushing upgrade and it helped a lot,i also switched 2 low profile tires wit alignment which gave it a more centered/flatter tire surface
it has to be axle or mainshaft, which side u feel more shake? if its u'r side then try to change mainshaft, where axle goes into tranny or u could've damaged the spline of shaft it has to be inside till it locked.
i went thru sooooo many axles trying to fix my shake and finally i replaced the one thing everyone neglects, upper balljoints. hasn`t shaken since.
visually check your tires, i had a blown belt on one of mine, tire was ballooned out on the tread and never noticed till i actually looked at the tire. But for some odd reason it would only shake at certain speeds
if you replaced the axles and it still does it, i would do the rest of the ball joints, also check the steering rack bushings and tie rod ends. i say that because you said it stops for a time after it is on a lift, it may have to do with steering parts and not driving parts if that makes sense at all.
i have a 1st gen crv and noticed the same thing, the whole front end would shake during accel. i lived with it for a while then i replaced my driver side wheel bearing because i had 2 broken wheel studs and the bearing busted apart while doing them, and still nothing. i then checked the balance of the wheels and it fixed the problem. something so stupid and simple. they where fine when my new tires were put on but then where out of whack on their own. i didnt notice if it was mentioned at all in the thread.
