Default Should I be concerned?

Ok I have a JDM H22 in my lude swapped about 5 months ago, never had problems with it, runs like a champ, well yesterday when I was at a drive thru, I saw the oil light flash real fast, maybe like 5 times, I can't tell exactly how many times cuz it did it so fast and it wasn't fully lit, as I was gettint out of the drive thru it did it again, so I knew it wasn't my imagination, then again, like I said it did it so fast that I barely noticed it, then as I was going home it never did it again. Oil is good, just changed it 2wks ago, has anybody experienced this or know if I should be worried about it, or maybe it's just a factory defect that happens once in a while or something of that nature?

Did you at least check the oil level? The oil light only comes on when oil pressure falls below ~7.5 PSI.

Oil level is fine, the light won't flash again, I drive the car for about 20 min before this happened.

This might be completly wrong, but could your oil pump maybe be going out, or worn out and thats why it flashes?

I was going to say something similar. Either that or his oil pressure sensor is going bad. Oil pressure should never be below 10 psi warmed up at idle.

Id check into this.

Checking the oil pressure light vs actual oil pressure is different.

Yes you need to have the oil pressure actually tested, my pressure was kinda fluctuating and it caused the light to act a little erratic at random times. Get your pressure tested and if it's good then it most likely is the oil sending unit.

Who are you talking to about replacing their pump, him or me? I haven't driven my car anywhere since the swap because of the pressure dropping so that I wouldn't damage anything, it takes a while for the light to come on.

To check your oil pressure you can pull it from a few different locations on the block.

You can by a cheap oil pressure gauge and keep it installed in your car for like 30 bucks from pepboys, or something like it.

check the oil pressure sending unit on the back of the block on top of the oil filter

this is a long shot - but you think maybe some gunk or something knocked loose and could have brushed up against the sensor?
