Which Axles should I get???
So last night I replace both axles from (Autozone/Duralast) on my 97 GSR. BIG Mistake!!! The whole car vibrates now when go into 2nd and 3rd gear
. So my question is what kind of axles should I get for my Daily Drivin GSR to prevent this vibrations. THX

i actually had good results with axles from autozone, i bought a new set from them before (not rebuilt) for my 99 ls a couple years ago. i'd start by just getting a new set from them, and seeing how that goes.
i doubt that its the axels fault that they are vibrating, you probly just didnt install them right
There isnt really a wrong way to install those. Plug and play haha. Quick question, would I be able to put a non ABS axle on my GSR that has ABS. Theres a guy that has rmain axles that include the damper thing in the middle to reduce vibration, but its for a non abs integra. Would I run into problems. THX
Yes do not buy autozone axles if you want to keep replacing them. I wen't through like 10 of them already. When you first put them in you are luck if they don't vibrate. But once you smash like once or twice down the street then there you it gets all F'd up. Trust me all my friends have autozone axles and all the same results :0 I'm planning on getting some better axles soon too.
this is common with autozone axles, have the same issue in my 95 ls, they were just clicking then I replaced them with new autozone axles not remans and then the vibrating started, haven't had a chance to replace them again yet, one thing with thats good about autozone axles is you get good at changing them quick, I can do both sides in 30-45 minutes

Yea Im afraid to go past 70 with these thing in. I was reading up on these Raxles. But there like 140 per axle. Im sure the phrase "You get what you pay for" plays a part in this. Im trying to find axles that have that damper in the middle of the Half shaft.....
if you want a plug and play without any problem go to www.raxles.com they even install factory style vibration rings. you know, the rubber dealies that all the parts store chains don't have on the axle anymore? autozone is hit and miss with axles. some of the guys on here have tried multiples before finding two good ones.
I too have had bad experiences with Advance/Autozone/NAPA axles. Save yourself the trouble and just spend the money on the Raxles. Purchasing the axles from Marty at www.raxles.com was the best experience I've ever had in purchasing a product. Prompt and courteous service and a quality product. You won't be disappointed.
I dont think I'd do this. I would just take them back and get Raxles. They're not remans and use higher quality components than even the new autozone ones. Autozone/advace auto axles are not balanced reman or new. This is just like balancing wheels. Sometimes you get lucky and they're not to bad, other times they're way off. Maybe you just got unlucky, or maybe they're just crap to begin with.
Short of drive shaft shops axles or oem honda ones (both more expensive) from what I've researched Raxels is the way to go.

Yea imma just fork up the extra cash and get them Raxles. I wished they had the same warranty that autozone and them had
. Thx for the input peoples.

i just placed autozone axle on my new daily hatch i picked up, no problems yet...ive heard with some aftermarket axles some might be a little longer, shorter, etc...almost like a crap shoot...
Been a tech for 6 years and all the parts store axles suck compared to the oem/ high end axles. Once you rip it for 50 miles or so the autozone ext. axles are done personaly the inner joint starts to vibrate a little than I snap the out side joint. Done that like ten times waiting on a high end cv assembly from my local diff shop more expensive but worth every penny. But I would say you get what you pay for pretty much has always applied in the automotive world since people started mass producing race parts.
I made the mistake of getting autozone axles and ever since the install my car vibrates at low speed. Didn't do that before axles were put in. I got a quote from marty at raxles and it's 150 with OEM core. Can't use autozone axles as core lol, Marty stated that autozone axles use made in china parts, so full price is going to be 200 each without core. Even though it's significantly more than what I paid for the autozone axles, I am still going to dish the money out for quality axles.
Lets not completely flame on those cheap Autozone/Kragen axles.
Life time warrenty means everytime you break or damage your axles after a good race day at the track, bring them in for a new ones

for raxles. Small side note, I removed those vibration dampening rings from my axles when I replaced the boots and noticed zero change in vibration levels. That could also be because the car has 75a innovative mounts.
