Default Burning Oil!!

ok, well i just recently bought my 91 4 door i have changed the clutch and did a new gasket set up, Oil is not leaking any where, and i have driven it for 200 miles so far, I am in the process of doing a y8 head swap and rebuilding my block.. rings bearings etc.. but I went to check my oil today after only 200 miles and i had no oil!!!
my main concern is the BLOCK!
what are the chances of the block being bad? or could it be i have a cracked or warped head?
i am on a tight budget now, i have the head and all the parts for the block rebuild, but what could I run into, "problems with the block" wise?
Spread sum cheer this way fellas, oh yeah 229,000 miles on the motor!

a few things that have made me super happy with the car is $20 to fill it up and 200 miles later still a half a tank!

If you take the bare block to a machine shop, they can usually check it for cracks for pretty cheap

most likely it's just the piston rings
so if your rebuilding i wouldn't worry to much about it

When you tear it down to do the rings and bearings, just check the cylinder walls for any gouges, cracks, etc. Sometimes cracks are small and hard to see, but can still have problems, so definetly look closesly. Also, since you are doing rings, it's ALWAYS a good idea to atleast hone the cylinders.
