Converting JDM b18c r to usdm ECU
ok So im finally going to swap the big bark small nite b16 out of my em1.
Unfortunetly finding a b18c5 is extremely difficult these days. Luckily its japanese counter part is everywhere. My em1 is not my DD but i really dont want a race car that cant pass inspection. I want it reliable and able to pass emission every day of the year.
Ok what is needed to convert a B18cR to a B18c5 so that a usdm p73 can be used? Im not sure if a jdm p73 will fail inspection.

what's his post # have to do with a simple question he's asking? what the "search button" maybe he did and didn't find anything.
Anyways, yes you will need a USDM p73, also I've heard a usdm obd2b oil pump and a few other items...Can anyone else confirm this??

I know a senior member asking a basic question. I haven't been in the game for a while i forgot the small details. I kind of already know what I'll need but I just want to see what some else says.
Crank sensor is needed. USDM p73. USDM oil pump. What else?

1. CKF sensor
2. Crank pulley with the teeth for the CKF sensor
3. USDM ECU since JDM one does not support VTEC pressure, rear O2, CCP, or CKF
4. USDM VTEC spool valve that accepts the VTEC pressure switch along with the pressure switch.
All of the parts you need can be used from your B16 that is currently in your car. Just transfer the parts over and call it a day. There is also a slight chance you may have to go to the US alternator as I'm not sure if the circuitry for the ELD is in a JDM alternator (JDM uses 3 wires typically whereas the US uses 4)
