91 std ls swap
alright well i have a 91 std
ive been having some problems with the crappy d15b1 it came with so ive decided to swap it.
ive been thinking about it and ima end up goin with an ls(i wana get it bar'd)
what i need to know is wat will i need to do the complete swap.im still running dual point so i obviously need to convert to multi point.
im not sure if i shoud go obd1 or stay obd0?
i wana make a check off list
if someone could help me with wat ill need that would be really appreciated
(im not gonna be doing this swap alone so dont bash me)
thanks

i also have a 91 std that im doing an ls-vtec swap on. i got a mulitport harness out of a lx sedan, resistor box, the obd0 to obd1 ecu and distributor jumper harness. i cant get the motor to run. do i have to switch the cabin harness as well? i have spark, i have fuel. compression is good. dizzy is good. im lost on options. what could i be missing? any help would be great, thanks

wtf are you talking about. The LX sedan NEVER came multipoint. Just use your stock harness and convert to mpfi. It is A LOT easier and less time consuming than swapping harnesses. Plus you would need one from a hatchback SI, not a sedan since the wiring is different. Also just because you have spark, fuel, and compression does not mean a motor will run. Those are the bare basic essentials, but a lot more is involved. Start your own thread instead of hijacking the op's thread.
dx and si knuckles are the same... at least the part numbers on the two sets of dx knuckles from two dx cars (a hatch and a crx) were the same as si part numbers
That's because they are the same. Only EX knuckles are different from the larger brakes. STD has the same brakes, but a different axle input.
