Crashwagon (AkA Jwood70's '00 V)
Hello all, just joined up and felt like I would introduce my V to anyone who doesn't know it from Hondasuv.com or crvoc.com.
Anyway, for those who don't know, I drive a 2000 ex 5spd. It has been in the family since the early days (we got it with 8000 miles). Since then, it has been wrecked 2 major times (one T-bone and flipped once). I dont have any pictures of the T-bone, but I have some of the flip.

The rebuild took place mainly in my garage with the help of a friend.

My friend is pictured. I dont have any shots showing fitment as it took both of us to get everything lined up and in place.
After that, the V was "given" to me in trade for my GTI (2000 VR6 5spd, lowered 2in all around, K&N CAI, B&M shift kit, 20% tint and flowmaster exhaust) I replaced all the damaged body panels and applied some rattle can white (since I am broke) and am driving it like that now.
My mods to date include a custom modified K&N CAI, Thule Ride On adapter with Rocky Mounts trays, Sony HU, MTX road thunder (leftover from my days with a Frontier), B&M T handle shift ****, painted steelies (with my winter tires on for now). I have plans for a lift, tint, roof basket to fit in place of the roof rails, fog light setup and header/exhaust and some paint work to come when I have the money to do it all.

Its not the snow that is the problem, snow is super easy to deal with. It is the ice that gets in the way of everything and causes wrecks.
Well, had a really great (not really) turn of luck with the CR-V in the last week. I had the master and slave cylinders replaced last week. Everything was going great until yesterday (Sunday) afternoon. Well I was driving and the clutch started slipping. I had to get it towed to the mechanic and when I talked to him this morning, I was told that I am looking at around $550 for the new clutch installed.

Well, mine went from great to gone in about 20 miles. But I did get 211,XXX miles on the stock clutch. I was hoping I could make it to next summer until I needed to replace it.
why not do it your self and save like 400 bux? just a thought. car looks nice tho. was it in a slow motion roll over? in the pix it looks like some one picked up one side and just kind of tossed it over into a ditch... lol
Well, I would have, but I am in college right now and dont have the time to be crawling around with the V on jack-stands using hand tools to get it out. I could have if I had the time to do it, but I have to have a vehicle to get from my house to campus
I was traveling about 20mph when I hit the ice, I came to rest on the bank (background with the bushes), went to backdown the hill, was hi-lowed on the top and side of the bank and then from 0mph, I rolled.

Had the first test of my driving skill since I had to attempt to drive home on bald a/s tires in the rain this weekend. We got about an inch and a half of snow.
Tires and rear diff fluid change made a huge difference. Never lost traction (that I felt) and felt very in control.
Now for some pictures.

On the parking deck about 10am Saturday morning.
After spending the better part of my Saturday morning working on a , I decided to go do a little bit of fooling around.

I love the way the V will just crawl over anything I find on the roads.

I also took some new pictures on campus Monday night. In these pictures, you can see the de-striped sides. These were taken on one of the parking deck on campus.
