Default y8 head problem?
hey I just took off my valve cover on my engine. Does this look normal to you guys? Also the engine hasn't ran for a while, its been sitting in a shop for a few months.

well it has like dark residue in the bottom and its not liquid. I'm swapping this into my car so should i clean this out or what?

you could clean it if you want...or you can just slap it on and let it run w/ fresh oil and it will get most of that black stuff out(looks like dried sludge)

The residue is normal. If you popped your valve cover and saw like 1/2" of sludge, it'd be a problem.
