valve train question? need help

Default valve train question? need help

i got a new set of skunk2 tunner 2 cams for my b16a i currently have 2000 itr cams and dual valve springs & retainers my question is can i slap on the skunk2 cams with out having that much of a problem i am thinking on investing in a good set of dual valve springs & retainers in the summer but i wonder if the itr ones will do for now.

i havent asked them. so anyone out their can i run my stage2 tunner 2 cams on my itr dual valve springs and retainers?

Type R springs are designed for ALMOST stage one cams. you have stage two, so of course you need to upgrade, especially since you have a B16A which is capable of very high revs. you dont want to put your engine in jeopardy with Type R springs and stage 2 cams velocities at the high RPM that you will need from a B16A.

might i suggest Omni valve springs and retainers.... a GREAT buy

OEM valvetrain = oem cam

if you have aftermarket you need to go with supporting valvetrain.

Supertech is alright.... i just prefer Omni because the seat pressure is lower but they can still handle hot cams and the retainers are the snap fit type....... they are a decent price too
