I have my stock 89 gauge cluster in my crx. I have been through all the cluster swapping bull crap and don't want to do it again. I am wondering/looking for examples of a custom tach setup done in the factory gauge cluster. I know about the EDM cluster tach,but i'm not paying $200 plus just to make my tach 9k.

It now has a built ls/vtec which is why i want the higher tach. Anyone done this in there factory cluster? I have seen a couple done with EK clusters so factory CRX or CIVIC (88-91) need only apply!!

Slap in a jdm cluster and your done. Or add a monster auto meter tach. Function over form, it seems that you are just looking for a clean set up. You can also get a mini tach that does the same as a monster.

 

Oh and I only paid 85 shipped for my edm cluster that. Goes to 8500 and 35 for my jdm ef8 cluster. So seems that your not searching hard enough for some good deals.

 

I look in all kinds of places for deals. Ebay's mostly. I would love to just find the EDM tach,but no luck thus far. I am just trying to find a clean way to alter the tach only without waiting for that deal and have something clean and functional

Thanks for pics. I know what the stock EDM/SIR clusters look like. I am looking for a custom example though. Like a defi or something of the sort installed inside the OEM cluster housing. Until i find a good deal for EDM this is what im looking for.
