Default 91 crx running light issue

as of recently ive noticed that my gauge cluster lights, running lights, and plate lights are no longer workin all bulbs have been replaced i changed out the headlight switch, and ive noticed the number 8 fuse for the cluster and running lights keeps blowing so that would make me assume that there is a bad ground somewhere?
and if so where would be the best place to check first?
any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated seeing as though this is my first honda
haha sorry for the belated post :p
thanks

Yeah sounds like a ground. Sucky, but you pretty much just have to follow the wiring from whatever isn't working back to the fuse box.

A good place to start is any recent wiring modifications.

Try this if you have a aftermarket radio in the car make sure the parklight wire that lights up the factory radio is not makeing contact with metal behind the radio, another would be check all blubs and be sure that there all good sometimes a blub will melt together causeing the fuse to blow.Good luck!

hm,i havent really made any wiring modifications to the car just a pair of wires goin to the switch for the push button start because for some reason, about a month ago i couldnt start the car by the key alonei replaced the starter, replaced the ignition switch and lock cylinder all to no avail so i set up a switch with 2 wires one from the starter to the switch and one from the battery to the switch but thats workin fine im losin my mind with this matter thanks though are there any tips you could provide in tracking it down?

I'd start by double checking the wiring for the dodgy starter.

the wiring is still in tact and what made me think originally that the headlight switch was kia was because before i had to install that switch, i had to play with the switch to get the cluster lights to work, insanity

I am having the same problem with mine. They worked one day then I get in it the next morning and they just quit working. Ended up splicing into the wiring and hard wired into my ignition. So now the running lights stay on all the time. Still no cluster lighting though... WTF?? Checked the wiring and everything looked good. Could it be the headlight switch mabey?

yours maybe just the headlight switch, you checked the underdash fuses right?
number 8 is the 10amp fuse thats for the running lights, cluster lights, and plate lights, check that one

I checked the fuses everything was good there. I went out there this morning and played with the wiring a little and there were some bad connecions so I fixed them all and they work great now.. Thanks for the help.

my crx was doing something very similar, one of the wires was split and kept hitting metal. once i taped it up it started workin fine till the headgasket crapped out lol.
