A re-spray is still a re-spray.

The Type R can be found for not much more.

thats a bit high, but keep in mind MOB has painted numerous cars that have been featured, and they are a reputable shop, so they are able to charge that amount. You know that it will come out immaculate, but for a price.

When it comes to paint you generally get what you pay for.

Is it worth it to YOU? That's really all that matters. MOB does great work no doubt, but if you're just driving the car to work, the mall, and the movies, who gives a **** if you laid down $7K on paint? To me that kind of work is for show cars, and nothing else.

Strip it yourself and tow the shell to their location and they will probably charge you almost HALF for the same paint quality. Its the labor that kills you.

We did an EJ6 for almost 1/3 of that price with our body shop. Which came out to be 2.7G.

Color was the SI blue. I know it's not CW, but it shouldn't be that much of a difference right?

Interior, engine bay, trunk, exterior, everything you name it.

And we didn't half *** the work also.

A car I own was re-painted by mob via previous owner, and overall, it's pretty good. I don't see any major shortcuts or problems with it, and the paint seems solid. I've seen more bad paint jobs than good from other places. I'm pretty sure Mob Works won't do a bad one.

I've always gone to Miguel at MOB for paint. You get what you pay for.

Charges way too much, quoted me $4,000 for a minor frame damage fix and a bumper spray.

I got it done for $900, w/ frame fixed with a laser mount.

Check out Sterling or google it, if you have one next to you i would recomend them. starts at $3500, they are super picky about their work, they remove everything, even the glass. i had an ex that got in a wreck and her insurance sent her their. I couldnt believe the quality of the work not to mention how organized they were. Im having my car completely repainted there her in austin at the end of the month and i truely am not even worried about how it will turn out.

Check it out for yourself if there is one near you.

I own a car that was previously painted by MOB. I dont know how much was spent but I have had many professional shops say it was a "hack job". Luckily my eye cant see it and its a race car.

If any of you guys pay $7k for a paint job thats a simple overall respray then your nuts.Especially for Dupont Chromabase paint. Not knocking it but I am a Rm guy and used both and compare.Regardless if they made a couple magazine features.I use to work at mad mods customs here in South fl and a job what you're looking for would be around the $3k job without bodywork needed and he has tons of articles.**** for $7k you better put Spies hecker,Glasurit paint. And strip it to metal epoxy, primer, sealer, base, clear, and full water sand and buff with 1000grit,1200grit,1500grit,2000grit.To have a real orange peel finish.Even with that being said I still honestly think its to much.**** you give me $7k I'll make sure everything is glasurit and is absolutely straight as a arrow you wont see a da sander on that thing.

I agree unless they are stripping the car completely and spraying it inside and out. Paint you do get what you pay for but $7k is insane. I would not pay that much for a paint job on a car worth how much?

I know its old but $7000 for a paintjob at MOB works is too much for the quality of work they do
Id go somewhere else, pay less and still get a better result

If you're willing to pay that then go for it. You get what you pay for. Yes you can pick up another R for five more thousand but you'll end up with a freshly painted car if you decide to lay the money out for the paint.
