Ok, so i thought my buddy had a motor head combo for me and boy was i wrong. BUt i have been looking at replacing my D15B7 with something that i can build for decent boost. I was wondering About the JDM OBD1 Dohc ZC motor. I have been told that because i am going turbo i dont really need V-tec. Is this true? am i gonna see a major improvement with it? And would the ZC be a decent motor for mild boost and DD. Sorry for the post i am just trying to figure out what route i should take for engine wise and i am not familiar with the honda motors. Thanks.

 

Go with a B series if your going to swap out the motor.

 

I dont want to go to a B series motor, mainly cause of price. If i could find a B series for $900 i would jump on it. But i only have a budget of about $2500. So the b series and a put together turbo kit is way out of my price range.
