do whatever you want to your car, have fun with it, if you want to upgrade something and youre new to cars, a short ram intake is hard to beat as a first mod, maybe a catback exhaust like an apexi ws or something not ricey. read up on the forums to see what you want to do in the future after you learn more about cars.

lower it a little until you get used to driving it and the just lower it more and more! Def throw an intake on it and a nice exhaust system! Take the orange plastic out of the Taillights so you would have Red and Clear Tails, but make sure to put Amber light bulbs.
Get a JDM Grill for it, Maybe some Acura TL-S Rims if you have a V6. Joey mod the headlights. There's so much you could do! PM if you have any ?'s and good luck

I would say, first things first, post pictures of your car, then we can tell you more about what might make it look better etc...I'm in NJ too, I can show you my car if you ever wanna see it, if it gives you any ideas.

Epic?

Anyway, one thing I would suggest; IF your new sound system included a new spiffy Reciever Head (and it's visible from the outside), put an aftermarket alarm in it. Preferably one which incorporates a tilt sensor and a glass break audio sensor.
By doing nothing more than changing out the radio you've made your ride a prime candidate for thieves.

Get an exhaust (headers back), a chip, performance wires, CAI, TB Spacer and I'm sure that'll get the horsies to move

wow, header(s)? its a header. cai? you tell me why cai is superior to sri, please. performance wires? why? stock honda ignition is good for quite a bit of horsepower. tb spacer? seriously? why waste 80 bucks? if you want to "up" the performance, go turbo. or, just buy, i/h/e, and buy a nice bisimoto cam, or save a few bucks, and get one from f22parts.com. what kind of chip were you talking about anyway? i'm hoping not one of those "spoon" chips from ebay for $25. thats a rip off.

op, not sure what your budget is, but ask yourself this:
what is my budget?
what do i plan on using the car for? track? street only?
what kind of horsepower do i want?

Stay away from any gimmick horse power adding chips and throttle body spacers. They don't do anything. The TB spacer adds to your intake plenum volume. Therefore it moves your tq in the rpm range and that's it. It doesn't add any power. The chips just add more fuel by hacking the ECU sensor signals.

Intake (Cold air intake) Header & Exhaust system. I/H/E are the every day initial bolt on mods that can make a few more ponies. Now, If you are planning on tearing into the motor and looking at gaining real HP numbers, ie a cam or some pistons. Then you may want to hold off on the generic $150 bolt on header & $400 exhaust. Get something custom made for your internals.

If what I just said confuses you. then you need to do a bit more reading on automotive basics before you even think about touching the engine in your car. Stick to the bolt on stuff until you learn what you want to do with your car.

Budget is a big part of modding your car. You have to set a goal & a budget. Then make a parts list that pertains to your goals. Then do some research into each of the parts.

word.

keep your enthusiasm up and your hands dirty by ensuring all of the tune up items are taken care of. do the intake (i try to stay out of the debate... get what you want, just make sure the filter is of good quality), fresh fluids, OE ignition components, maybe tires, brakes... you'll get some experience and maybe an idea of what you'd like to do.

also not a bad idea to get a subscription or two to some tuning mags (i recommend Honda Tuning, makes sense...)

slam it... lower your car as low as you can go.. as long as your comfortable with a low low that is... you can never be too low unless you scrape on the drag strip.. and if you scrape on the drag you are way too epic.. so stop making everyone else look stupid...

haha

go low.. thats always respected no matter what scene your in

Then the person isn't serious.

Without a balanced approach to engine mods, you'll see almost no improvements from a CAI (except it's noisier).
As far as a Cat-Back Exhaust system, you can expect 5-8 hp gains at most.

It's not until you start talking about camshaft, compression ratio and things like head porting that you'll start seeing any real numbers.
...and that costs $$$

there is such thing as being stupid low, lol. some of the cars i see here on h-t are rediculously low. i'd hate to own a car like that and replace tires once a year.
