D15b2 MotorSwap
Okay, the thing is, my brother bought a 92 Hatchback and the motor that came with it was a d15b2 w/ PM3-3 head stamped 90'. He swapped it out for a new motor and now has this motor sitting around. I recently bought a 1988 Civic hatchback Si w/o the motor and I was wondering if I were able to swap the d15b2 in. Currently I have the longblock, Si Wiring harness, Si ECU, Si tranny, 88 DX shift linkage, and 88 DX distributor.
Now the thing is, how can I make this all work? I noticed that there was no plug to hook up to my distributor. Also there was a Grey plug on the motor that doesnt seem to hook up anywhere. Also I cant seem to find a plug on the HARNESS to hookup to the MapSensors on the throttle body.
I really have NO IDEA where to start with all the wiring. If anyone can help me out, I will appreciate it a TON!! I REALLY need to get this car up and running so any suggestions/tips/recommendations will help.
Thanks H-T

This is a pretty simple swap; I did a similar one in october.
Take the d15b2 and put the Si Wiring harness on it(Just match up the plugs)
The Si tranny will bolt up as will the 88 DX shift linkage, however you will need to get an 88-91 Si Distributor.
How many pins does the Grey plug on the motor have? Where on the motor is it located?
You'll need to run a hose from the Intake Manifold to the Map sensor on the firewall. It is easier and more reliable than extending the wire to the throttle body.

He said he got the car without an engine, so who knows if the got the EF manifold.
Using the EG manifold and injectors would allow him to do a resistor box delete.
Also he mentioned a 88 DX distributor but nothing about an EF Si Distributor.
