This is a super easy swap, I've done quite a few of the Y7's into EF cars. First, you need to change the driver's side bracket and mount on the D16Y7 to the ones from the D16A6 Si motor. That will allow the motor to drop in and bolt up. Change the entire intake manifold on the Y7 to the one from the Si, make sure to use a new intake manifold gasket.
You need to transfer the Si engine harness onto the Y7 and reuse the Si distributor as well. Most everything will reach and be plug and play except you will need to rewire the coolant temp sensor. It is on the back of the block of the Si motor, it's a big rubber plug covering the connectors. You need to extend the wiring or unloom it back to the thermostat where the sensor is now on the Y7. You will need to change the plug to a normal 2 prong connector plug. This might sound like a lot but it's really easy to do.
