hey guys i havent had this car (91 integra da9) for to long. at first it ran great no problems and had 2 runs with it. one day leaving school it began to idle lower and felt lyke it was forcing it self to much on my way home it died i started back up but turned off 5 min later, long story short i had to get it towed home. I dont know whats wrong it wont start we changed the dizzy and did a tune up(oil, filter, Ngk Spark plugs) it started once we played around with the dizzy moving it and it ran gewd for 10 mintues and now it wont start agian i dont know what to do.

 

Alternator? sounds like its running off the battery.

 

but everything works and and cranks over just dosent start =(

 

Check for any bad gasket on your car especially on your intake manifold. Also check to see if you have enough battery life left, enough to start the car. If your car cranks and you have plenty of battery life and no problem with the distributor, starter, fuel pump, or fuel filter, then it could be your main relay.

 

if you have spark,fuel,compression,etc check your timing next

okay im going to buy the main relay today hope its that ...

 

main relay is more than likely ur problem ... its on the driverside under the dash...

 

okay guys here the update i installed da main relay walk in the park and the car didnt start we sprayed starter fluid and it started right up and ran gewd for 10 min and began to do the same thing... when u give it gas it turns rigth off ... we notice it gets more air than gas?????why???? i need help guys and thanks again

Maybe the fuel pump is dying? Or the fuel filter is clogged up? It could just barely be gettin enough fuel pressure to idle but not enough to start up.

 

check fuel pump and filter and dont spray any more starting fluid in it its a fuel injected vehicle this will just cause issues. turn the car all the way off let it set for 10 minutes and then crack teh fuel line fitting open to releive pressure, then retighten it. go back to the fuel tank door and open it and take the cap off have someone click over the key but not crank it. listen for fuel pump to kick on and prime. if it does you should be good ont eh pump but check or change the fuel filter. then check plugs wires dizzy cap and rotor for corotion etc good luck.

 

i mean throttle body fluid my fuel pump works cus i put brand new any who i had someone check it out and told me about the TPS? DO i have to buy a new throttle body ?and where can i buy one

 

im also going to check my fuel filter

 

Fuel filters are cheap and if it doesn't solve the problem, it was probably dirty anyway

bump it still wont run

 

change the fuel pump i had the same problem and it was my fuel pump it will kick on like its pumping fuel....however it is probably not pumping enough pressure...my car did the same thing 2 yrs ago and i put a 255 in it...cause i was running a 190 mustang gt pump cause i was running low boost

 

but it has a new fuel pump it acts like it wants to start after a couple try and then it makes a noise on my starter i have to hit and noise goes away and it just wont start ..
can it be my dizzy? i forgot to mention i just change the cap and rotor on it

 

okay i got runing for a few ... while it was on i disconnected the tps and bogged down????

 

come on any one ?????

 

dam no one its been 2 months later and still dont run i change the fuel filter injectors and o rings tps senor and throttle body gasket and cranks but dont start and when it starts it dose the same thing shut off.... fml

 

well i belive i found my problem my dam motor made my starter break into 3 pieces
