How many miles do you replace the oxygen sensor?
Yup, like the title said How often, How many miles do need to replace the oxygen sensor in the civic?
Damn I drove 24 miles every day each way to commute from home to work - home total of 48 mile, my gas gone quick...
Im wondering if I need to replace my oxygen sensor or?
Now I have almost close to 300K miles in my stock motor, never rebuild.
My engine lights not on, everything okay.
Well? Any input?
Thank you, (BTW I have 91 civic DX 5 spd manual still with 2 injector and half carburetor).

you dont "need" to replace it at this point. the o2 sensor is only needed for emission purposes...no until you get that CEL blinking on your dash, just leave it alone.
^^^ False- o2 sensor controls air/fuel to a point. I usually replace them every 50-60k miles. The sensor could be skewed and as long as it's not reading completely open, it may never set a check engine light.
If it's been in there for over 50-60k miles, REPLACE IT.

Yup, get one from a local parts store. It's a 1 wire o2 sensor, so they usually cost like $25 max. They are easy to put in. Unhook the connection, take the old sensor out, put the new one in.
