Calling all H22 CRX owners? (with hasport mounts)
My car is away at a workshop at the moment however im making a hood cowling for it to clear the engine. Im wondering if someone with a hasport mounted H22 in a 88-91 CRX can take a couple of measurements for me?
Im needing the measurements from the crank pulley side of the rocker cover to the top of the wing? And also the front edge of the rocker cover to the slam panel? (where the hood latches).
Your help is much appreciated, thanks in advance

Most of the mounts dont cause a problem with hood clearance but the hasport ones do (last time I checked their site they had discontinued them, maybe this was the reason why). Any other mount kit gives enough hood clearance but then the weigh up is sump clearance.
Are they hasport mounts also?
I bought soem cheap *** ebay mounts for a H22 EG civic swap and ground and hood clearance was perfect. I did have trouble with the rear engine mount lining up thou but nothing a few jacks in the right place and pry bars couldnt sort out

It is listed in the instructions that you need to run a carbon fiber hood for clearance.
Can you confirm that is the case for any CF hood or just the fiber images one? I have a fibreglass hood I bought in the UK but it seems like it wont fit. I guess its all down to how the webbing is structured
Cheers I remember reading up on this build a year or so ago and came to that conclusion also. Ive started making a cowling for an old CRX hood I had lying about im just not wanting to secure it in place till I am sure its going to do the job. Can anyone take a tape measure to their H22 CRX for me? Even if it has other mounts it shall give me a fair idea of where to cut.
It's not so much that you need a carbon fiber hood, it's that you need an SiR (EF8/9) style hood (one that is raised in the middle). There are three our four companies that make them here is the USA to fit the non-SiR (EF6) chassis.
