HELP! DC2 rear quarter glass removal
i need to know how or where to go to, to get it pulled. if i can do it myself that is a plus. respraying my car this winter. and i hope to start prepping in 2 weeks
they sell a window removal kit.... its not hard you could even use guitar strind ive done it a few times. good and youtube videos out there.
Any auto glass company, and probably a lot of autobody shops can do this for you also. I've heard that removing glass can be kind of a pain yourself!
i did it onmy crx each window took less then 10 min.
Go to napa and windshield piano wire.
Use an awl and or something to put a hole in the glue.
feed piano wire through and wrap pliers around each end and use a sawing motion and go around the whole window.
if there is any glue left make sure you cut through it. you will shatter it if you pull

I suggest not using the piano wire method mentioned above on DC2s. Ive had bad experience using it on my integra. The metal wire method works great but only if you can remove the rubber molding which you cannot in the DC2. The DC2 quarter glass and window molding is one piece. I tried using this method without damaging the rubber but i ended up taking chunks off the rubber molding.
Plus the window has 3 plastic clips integrated to the window molding which the piano wire cant cut through.
What i ended up doing is just getting a razor blade and welded it to a metal bar for some leverage. If you cant do that just have it removed professionally which cost around $25 per window which is better than paying $300 for a brand new quarter glass.

do not use piano wire, call a glass company to come out and remove them, they are glued in with urethane window adhesive and virtually impossible to remove without the cutting tool that the glass companys use, ill take some pics tomorrow
