Icon2 Gsr engine rebuild

Well i blew my last b18c1 bought a used one and its burning oil bad, 1 quart bout every 4-500 miles. Decided to just get the whole engine rebuilt. Gonna have new oil pump, gasket set, head job, block honed, front + rear seals, deck hot tanked n .25 over type r pistions. My mechanic is chargin 1042 for the parts he gave me each individual parts price all oem honda and 350 for fluids and labor. was wondering if this sounds good? Was also wondering what cam i should get type r, sunk pro stage 2, blox? Will be getting springs for them too. Anythin else i should add? N no i dont have a ton of money to put in. he also told me the engine would be a 2.0.

It sounds like you have a lot more research in store for you... do you have any more details in regards to how he's going to achieve 2.0L other than by using larger pistons??? I think you just need a more detailed understanding of what's going on. Use a compression calculator and just mess around with different parts to see how they alter your compression: http://www.zealautowerks.com/bseries.html. You're also going to need a more detailed breakdown as to how he's charging you for parts and labor. Everything seems so vague, still, with your numbers... GL.

There's no way you gonna achieve 2.0L with a 81.25mm bore.

Also look at replacing the cam seals, it seems every B18C1 motor that leaks oil loses alot from the seals.

why not just used that $1392 towards a used gsr motor from junkyard and just drop it in?then slowly build your B18c1?
