Need some help with brakes.
Okay HT it is time for new brakes on my daily driver. So i figured why not go ahead and get a better brake set up than the stock ones that are on it?
But i don't have a clue on where to start so if you could help me that would be great.
I drive a 97 civic Hx.
Thanks.

Put on a decent set of pads and flush the fluid. Thats more than enough for a daily driver. I'm a big fan of the carbotech bobcats for daily driving. no noise, very low dust, and good bite. Stick with blank rotors. Drilled/slotted rotors won't perform any better. They just look better if thats what you are into.

No problem. FYI, Carbotech ( www.ctbrakes.com ) is located near Charlotte, NC, so if you order from them it should be quick shipping and they also offer discounts to honda-tech members. I think the discount is 7% or something like that.
personally im running hawk hps pads and autozone blanks on the front. i love the fact that the pads were made for track use, and so they are just waiting for you to heat them up if the need arises. whatever brand of brakes you choose, make sure you flush the system, and like said above, slotted/drilled rotors are a look only mod.
