SRS light on - aftermarket seats - questions about dealership...

Hi - I own a 2005 ep3 that had the stock SRS seats equipped when I bought it. A year os so later, I replaced them with a different set of seats that do not have SRS. As such, my SRS light is now on. To respond to the SRS light, I tried to trick using the 2oh resistor trick, however, after I reset my SRS system the light still popped on. *Note* prior to the seat installation, my SRS system had zero issues....I'm not sure what the problem is but when I bring it in for my next oil change I want to ask the dealership to check it out.
My question is: Will the dealership be able to help me now that I do not have an SRS seat equipped? Should I remove the seat resistors prior to asking the dealership for help? is there anything else I can do to troubleshoot the system on my own?
Thanks!

I thought all SRS related items were covered by a life-time warranty. I think your problem might be related to not properly plugging the wires back in correctly. I would check everything again before wasting time at the dealership.
And, you should be doing your own oil changes. Get in touch with your car and look over everything while changing your oil and filter. Just a thought.

I understand your point but not everybody has the time, space, tools and patience to do their own oil changes... we shouldn't judge others cause they pay to get an oil change.
I stopped doing my own oil changes a year when all my tools got stolen with my race car... now my mechanic doesn't even charge me for an own change and plus I do it myself sometimes if he is to busy lol

My time is worth a lot to me, and I don't like all of the left over mess associated oil changes... I install everything else that I have the power/skill to perform, just not oil changes.
Anyway, thanks for all of the help.
