Default apexi world sport II

is there another muffler that sounds about the same and looks good and is a little easier on my wallet? i can't justify paying $400 for an axleback muffler. i dont want a catback either cause im gonna have a full 2.5" exhaust custom made next year after i build an engine.

btw the muffler will be going on a 92 dx hatch.

the vibrant black canister is similar. also the apexi Noir. if you dont mind black cans both of those sound good.

then just wait to buy the exhaust. why waste your money now when its gonna need to be replaced. axlebacks are a waste of money imo. oh, and i've had a ws2 before. i makes ZERO sound. like having a stock exhaust on it.

$400 for an axle back? Where? I got mine for $225 shipped may2008

Anyways ive also heard the "ESTuning oval" its sounds about the same at only $125 from jhpusa. Or try out a twin loop muffler.
Or get another resonator

We had a Magnaflow Street series oval muffler on our Protege MP3 a few years back. It sounded really nice on it... I think the part # is 14829.

Then you could keep the same muffler later on when you redo your whole exhaust system, no $$ wasted!

Probably no one on honda-tech likes this, but I have a flowmaster axle back, it was about $230 I think (got it a while ago)

it sounds nice and deep, a bit loud, and it fits really well, no axle back is going to really do much performance wise, maybe 2 hp or something

I dont know any other exhaust that sounds as clean and quiet as the ws2. I say save up some money and just buy the muffler. They are cheaper than the whole catback.

Definitely not $400 for the WS2 axleback. I got the entire catback for $415 shipped, so I know it's considerably less than that for the axleback.

Since when is the WS2 $400 for an axleback? I paid $390 shipped for mine for the catback from a honda-tech sponsor vendor. The axleback is only like $200.

If you're seeing axlebacks for $400, you're looking in the wrong place.

If that's still too steep, you may consider a magnaflow or ES Oval.
