i have a 91 hatch with a b18a1 swap. about 3 weeks ago it started acting dumb and now not running at all. i can take the keys out and hit the brake pedal and all the lights on the dash come one including the seatbelt check engine and the batterylight. when the car did run i had my nights on and while i was driving hit the brakes and the headlights shut off. does anyone have any ideas? i really need to get my car running

 

Check your battery and alternator. Check fuses, check main relay.

 

i had mechanic friend of mine check my battery and alternator when the car was still running. he said the battery was fine and the alternator was charging the battery correctly while the car was running. where is the main relay at? i didnt do the swap to the car and ive never had to deal with older hatches like this ive owned newer preludes all my life

 

Are you able to turn the headlights on now? ****** the battery out as it sits and take it to Autozone and have them charge/test it. If it's reading ~12.9 you should be OK. If it's reading anything lower than like 12.6, it needs charged and you have something drawing power, or a charging issue.

 

I know for a fact its not my battery. And no my headdlights won't. Turn on at all
