B20z2 vtec motor build help
Ok so i picked up this teg with a b20 in it. i want to do a build so it will be my daily driver with a lil bit of power and still get like 20mpg. Here's what ive come up with anybody else have some ideas or changes i would need.
Goal 225WHP and rev 8.5k all day long
B16a2 head
skunk2 intake mani
Itr valve train and itr cams 98spec
stock valve size and a mild port and polish nothing expencive
3 layer honda stock head gasket
b20z2 block
rs 84mm itr pistons or p30 piston(jdm b16a)
Gsr rods with arp rod bolts
block gard
golden eagle lsvtec kit
apr head studs
gsr water/oil pump
if theres anything im missing could u let me know cause im drawing a blank right now. Also i will be getting a tune at speedfactory in tacoma(best i think around in WA)

first off...u need way more work than that to achieve 225whp like better cams, valve train and machining. also, u cant do p30 pistons ina b20...ditch the block guard, its rubbish and u can reuse the b20 rods jus recond 'em. get a p28, chip it and tune it...u'll need i/h/e to get good results. and i wouldnt mess around in such high rpms with a b20 as a daily with stock sleeves...some people do, but sooner or later its bound to give.
neither are meant for high revs like that, and unless ur gunna road race or auto-x it...neither need to be revved that high ona daily basis. ls block is stronger, but honestly it doesnt sound like u know too much about this topic...search it and choose ur block or just go gs-r and build it....wont require mating the non-vtec block wih vtec head and whatnots. i like b20, and im building one to drop in my hatch. gs-r will pull great if you do head work with a chip and tune.
i dont do auto-x but i do street race/quart mile a lot or just sometimes beat on it a lil when im frustrated. ive had like 20 different honda's i know my **** but i dont know bout blocks and when they will give out. sorry im not a pro.
