60mm is good. Anything bigger is too big.

3'' is too big for bolt ons for sure... Its like when you use a bigger intake manifold (Venom) on a stock car, too much air flow.. it just chokes on it and there in lies power loss.
Just go 2.5.
Just go 2.5.

2.25-2.5, and the Ti articles should giv you a good idea as well.
most catbacks are 2.36-2.38 and 2.36 being the most common
if you are doing customthen you'd should do 2.25 or 2.5 mandrel bending.
3" crush bent is supposedly equivlent to a 2.5 mandrel but it still is going from 3 > 2.5 on the bends and back to 3... not even flow

Here are some pictures of a custom 2.5" Exhaust.

SMSP Header to the SMSP High flow cat

Extra O2 bung, if I ever have to go back to OBD2

I took off a Comptech Cat-back. ~2.36"
If you are planning to stay with bolts-ons on your car you will never see the benifits of a 3". Keep in mind 3" will sound louder and weight more. If your planning major engine work, lets say over 225whp a 3" will be good.

^^Just put a cat on my car for emmissions and it feels like there is more torque in lower rpm. But in higher rpms 3000+ definitely feel less power than before with a test pipe.
I can't believe this thread. This is the stupidest thing ever, Exhaust does NOT increase your performance by any noticeable amount unless you've got a build and are required to put it on. You're just drawing attention to yourself. I would save your pennies and go for a more useful mod personally.
If you wanna make power.. reguardless of what anyone tells you..
you have to run 2.5+.. I run 3'' on my daily and have even had thoughts of going 4''..
