Whats up fellas. Ok so i have a b20b swap in my 99 civic si and i need help identifying what year tranny i have since the vin was scraped off

the sticker says s80-**** with a couple digits. any idea as to what year tranny this is? please help me out i put in a brand new 99' b16 starter since mine is done and it wouldnt crank

 

if its got a vin sticker then its a 95 or older if its got the vin tag its a 96 or newer. I cant remember off the top of my head but i think a s80 is a LS trans

the tranny has a stciker that reads S80-3091211 ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS?

 

bump. i need a new starter but i need to know what tranny its going on

 

well based on that info above i'd say try getting a starter for a gsr since it seems that pops up in all of them, although i thought all be series starters were the same?? wouldn't make sense for each car to have a different starter based on trim...

 

all b series starters are the same. I didnt see that the first time I read the post. Sounds like you got a problem elsewhere
