99 civic dx idle issue
Hello all. I was wondering if someone out there can give me there knowledge. I have a 99 civic dx automatic. The head gasket blew so I replaced that, and the plugs, rotor, cap and wires. The timing is set correctly. The car idles ook when cold but when it warms up and i come to a stop the car dies so I have to put it in nuetral and give it gas and break. There is also a hissing sound comming from the back side and it rides really rough and it is louder than before. There is no effect on power.
Any takers!!
Thanks

Maybe try cleaning your IACV? This can get dirty and create an unsteady idle over time, I may be wrong though, I've never heard of a car just dying from it... it's located on your throttle body by the way
You've probably got a vacuum leak somewhere around the intake manifold. Check to make sure all the hoses are plugged in, if they are you can try spraying a can of carb cleaner at various spots to check for leaks in the gasket etc.
