Sorry im just wondering what makes a civic an Ej8 eg8 ej6 ekg eg6 ek9 and all the others what classifies your car as one of these or anyother diff. ones??
type of engine swap? front conversions? sorry if this is a stupid question but i feel like i should learn this sometime lol

EDIT: And just to let you know, a lot of the US population refers to the different generations as a certain chassis code (ie: '88-'91 EF, '92-'95 EG, '96-'00 EK, etc). Although that is technically wrong, you'll find that companies and HT members alike use them just because everyone knows what years they stand for.
