lets just say in a perfect world where all clearances are good and are sure p2v clearances are good, because ya know these are interference motors, but if all that is good and just with a double valve spring then it should be ok to do, but do you really make power at 9k.>?

youd be better off shifting, then make power at a lower rpm.

i wouldnt reccomend turning 9k and putting extra strain on the motor of its not even giving you any power gains. if you had a set of stage 3 cams and all that ok, but itr cams, no

The springs are that you really have to worry about.. floating valves... but there is a thing called dropping valves.. Just get it tuned and see were you stop making power at

are you running a higher compression setup?? if your running a stock bottom end and anything less than ITR cams then your not going to see much difference...though I do share the rev high bug, and can appreciate what you're trying to do here

Let's assume what others are saying, and that you won't be making power up there. Why not just run GSR valvetrain and the GSR cams? It will be a little less drag and less wear on the lifters. I wouldn't worry about the valves, I'd be more concerned about the titanium retainers mushrooming out and making you drop a valve...

JW how would retainers mushroom valves?? it the keepers that are touching the valves not the retainers... Also mushrooming is caused from improper clearence of valves( ie needs valve adjustment)
